About Us

Women’s Health Hope is an independent charity dedicated to supporting, advocating for, and educating about women’s health. Our mission is to shine a light on the unique challenges women face and create a safe space where no one feels alone in their journey.

Our founder, Monica, knows firsthand the struggles of living with under-recognised and misunderstood health conditions. After battling symptoms for 17 years—often feeling unheard and dismissed—she was finally diagnosed with lichen sclerosus, endometriosis, and adenomyosis.

“For years, I felt isolated in my own body, constantly questioning my pain as all my test kept coming back clear. I had no one to turn to who truly understood. Receiving my diagnoses was a long and difficult process, and coming to terms with them is an ongoing journey. This experience inspired me to create change. Women’s health needs greater support and recognition. The physical, emotional, and social impacts of these conditions are profound. No woman should feel isolated or unheard. Together, we can build a community to support and uplift each other.” – Monica, Women’s Health Hope’s Founder.

One in three women in the UK will experience a reproductive or gynaecological health problem*. Despite this, research has revealed a significant gender gap in healthcare. For example, there is five times more research into erectile dysfunction, which affects 19% of men, than into premenstrual syndrome, which affects 90% of women**.

Women’s Health Hope believes every woman deserves to be supported and heard. We aim to raise awareness, educate the wider community about the lived experiences of women navigating complex health conditions, and help close the gender gap in healthcare.

Women’s health can be a challenging and isolating journey. Let’s stand together, support one another, and create hope for a healthier future. Don’t face it alone

Our groups

The group is a safe space for building a community of like-minded women, sharing lived experiences, and empowering our voices. We host various activities to help spark conversations and foster connections.

We offer support for women of all ages, 18 and over, who are experiencing any gynaecological symptoms, with or without a formal diagnosis.

While the group provides a safe environment to discuss and share experiences, please note that none of the staff at Women’s Health Hope are medically trained. As such, we cannot answer medical questions. If you are concerned about your symptoms, we strongly encourage you to contact your GP.

The group meets face-to-face, and no pre-booking is required—you can simply turn up. Attendance is free of charge, and we provide complimentary snacks and refreshments.

If you feel nervous about attending, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
